Artist’s Journey…
Caneen Rattray is a 40 year old artist, based in Buckinghamshire, her style blends realism and abstract expression. Caneen’s work often reflects themes inspired by God’s creation; landscapes, wildlife and the beauty of the outdoor.
Where it all began….For over a decade Caneen has run a successful face and body painting business, bringing colour and joy to her clients, yet she never believed she could draw. The world of fine art felt distant and something for ‘real’ artists, not her.
Caneen discovered her love for painting during a challenging season of life. Art quickly became her place of peace., a place to zone out to the sounds of Gospel music and freely paint. What she discovered was unexpected natural gift for painting and a deep passion for art she never knew she had. She realised she wasn’t just creating art she was reconnecting with purpose.
Each piece reflects her journey from doubt to discovery and from hidden talent to confident creativity.
Above all her message is one of purpose. Through her art she hopes to inspire other to step boldly into who they were created to be, try new things and believe that purpose can be found even in the most unexpected places.
