My Journey into Art
Caneen’s journey into art began long before she picked up a paint brush. As a model, she was inspired by the artists she saw at photoshoots and began her creative path through makeup. But she longed for something more creative. She added face painting as a service to her makeup business. It was here she discovered a passion for creating art on living canvasses, building a successful face & body painting business for over 14 years.
Although her mother noticed her artistic talent from a young age in primary school, for decades Caneen never believed in her ability and steered clear of art throughout educational years.
As dedicated mother, business owner and finance professional Caneen leads a energetic and busy life. When a challenging season hit it was in this time that she began to experiment with drawing and painting on canvas. Art quickly became her escape, a peaceful creative space strengthen by her faith and the uplifting comfort of gospel. She realised she wasn’t just creating art she was reconnecting with purpose.
Today her work reflects a journey of growth and purpose. Above all, Caneen’s mission is to encourage and inspire. Through her art she hopes to help others believe in their unique gifts, embrace what makes them different and confidently shine their light.
